You will report to the Director of Engineering for Experience. The Growth Engineering team at Pinecone is responsible for our user onboarding, management console and our integrations ecosystem.
As an Engineering Manager at Pinecone, you will drive the planning and execution for our growth engineering roadmap, including both long term capabilities and short term campaigns. You’ll support a team of experienced engineers and help them do their best work in a creative area, and you’ll grow the team with world class talent.
Responsibilities:
Delivering UI changes and campaigns to meet specific business objectives
Planning with product and marketing teams to ensure the roadmap is aligned with our business goals
Grow a world class team of engineers and support them in doing the best work of their career
Develop and improve processes that ensure consistent delivery against objectives and drive strong alignment across teams
Evolve the organizational structure to meet long term objectives
What we look for:
2+ years of experience leading teams of 3+ people
Experience with React and REST API backends
Familiarity with distributed systems
Ability to recruit world-class talent, and make sure they have the conditions to do their best work
Use creativity to get outcomes, not outputs
Growth mindset, courage and curiosity to stretch beyond your previous experiences
Big Bonus points:
Strong familiarity with at least one compiled language such as Rust, Go
